Who am I?

Cool, Charming & Conscious, Mr Cee is the ‘Urbane Comedian’ & one to watch out for on this 'Circus of Fun'. 

​

Equally skilled at Hosting or Stand-Up, Mr Cee has performed at venues such as The Hackney Empire, The Comedy Store, Glee & Jongleurs Comedy Clubs. He has also supported Comedy Giants Kevin Hart, Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney, UK Legends Felix Dexter, Gina Yashere, Curtis Walker, Angie LeMar & African Legends AY, Basketmouth, Okey Bakassi & Clint Da Drunk on their UK tours. Also he has hosted/performed at Concerts with Busta Rhymes, Redman, Method Man, Corrine Bailey-Rae, SWV, Jon B, Janet Kay, Carol Thompson to name a few.

His comedy achievements ranges from doing 'warm ups' most recently for CH4’s Award Winning ‘The Big Narstie Show’, the BBC1 show ‘Blouse & Skirt’ & also winning the ‘Best Male Newcomer’ at the Prestigious Black Entertainment Comedy Awards in 2000.

 

Being one of the founding ‘Leaders Of The Nu Skool’ a collective of progressive & ground breaking comedians, Mr Cee has been for over 17 years, consistently nurturing countless comedians on their journey into stand up comedy & elevating the standards & shows.  Mr Cee is also a D&AD Black Pencil Award Winning Mentor, at the world renowned School Of Communication Arts 2.0.

Highlights

Mr Cee's highlights include, organising and hosting the 'Come Mek We Larf' comedy nights for the last 3 years at 'Summerfest' (1,500 people) held at the Pontins Prestatyn and Southport sites. Entertaining Troops and Civilians at US Military bases in Germany and NATO HQ in Belgium, hosting The Hackney Empires New Talent Show at the Edinburgh Festival 2001. To this year performing at the Geel Reggae Festival in Belgium

Currently he fine tunes his topical gags by working as a stand-in on the highly popular BBC TV show ‘Mock The Week’ & his improv skills on the forthcoming 2011 hit show ‘Fast & Loose’. TV Appearances include BBCs’ Mali Monologues’, MTV BASEs ‘Kojos Comedy Fun House’ & FLAVA TVs ‘Real Deal Comedy Jam’.

His many highlights have included, organising and hosting for the ‘Come Mek We Larf’ comedy nights at Summerfest (1,500 people) held at the Pontins Prestatyn and Southport sites.  To hosting The Hackney Empires New Talent Show at the Edinburgh Festival 2001. His gig hit-list has also included performances at The Respect Festival – Millennium Dome and Cambridge University.

Most recently he performed (Acting/Sketches) in the LIVE Stage Version of BBC’s ‘The Real McCoy Reconnected’ & is currently touring with ‘The Real McCoy Comedy Explosion’.

After 4 years of doing Comedy Extra (1hr sets) at The Theatre Royal Bar Stratford, he performed his 1st solo show ‘Snigger Please’ at The Drum, Birmingham in Sept 2010, to a sold out audience.

​

International performances have included headlining in Da Bounce Rotterdam & Amsterdam, The Geel Reggae Festival in Belgium, Entertaining Troops and Civilians at NATO HQ in Belgium and US Military bases in Germany.

​

Whether performing at small intimate venues or the big stage, Mr Cee is equally comfortable and in tune with his audience, his Social awareness has naturally provided him work with various youth organisations & associates Silver Comedy and thus he is in demand as the front man (Host/Compere) for many events and was the resident host of Kindred Spirit (Inspiring Live Music, Spoken Word & Song) for many years.
