(6 Week Course - 3 Hours Per Week) The Comedy Academy is for everyone who wants to explore their life stories & experiences through the lens & elementary skills comedians use to make an impact on an audience. The Comedy Academy is not just a workshop for people who are funny, witty, energetic or just simply, love to laugh but a masterclass for all on building lifelong warm interpersonal skills. From shaping your first thoughts into funny ideas, to performing the finished product, in front of a live paying audience. Your Tutor, the renowned 'Comedy Coach' Mr Cee, will inspire you & safely guide you on that journey, in the creation of Laughter. The course is great fun, enjoyable and is designed to also build your confidence, allows you to express your creativity freely and most importantly empowers you to have your own voice. The 6 sessions will cover topics ranging from What Is Comedy, The Techniques Of Comedy, Dealing With Fears and Your Comedy Style. In addition to learning professional skills, other rudimentary life skills taught are, How to Gain Rapport, Boosting your Self Esteem and to examine/explore/express areas of Self Identity, all of which contribute to a healthier mental attitude. One of the first persons to popularise the saying “laughter is the best medicine” was the renowned journalist Norman Cousins. This has now been tried & tested many times within comedy workshops & Mr. Cee has successfully demonstrated the truth behind this statement, with students reported to have benefited from improved mental health & a more positive mindset through their engagement in the workshop. He has curated & performed Comedy all over the UK & abroad and is the warm-up man for Ch4’s BAFTA Award winning ‘The Big Narstie Show’.
